Privacy Policy
Effective from 7 August 2026
We respect your privacy and collect only the data we need in order to reply to you. This policy explains what happens to your data when you write to us through the form on this website.
Who is the data controller
The controller of your personal data is:
- KontextMakers s.r.o.
- Registered office: Nademlejnská 1069/20, Hloubětín, 198 00 Praha 9, Czech Republic
- Company ID (IČO): 29648891
- Registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, section C, insert 450137
- E-mail: info@kontextmakers.cz
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer — please contact us at the e-mail address above for any matter concerning your data.
What data we process and why
We only process the data you enter into the contact form yourself:
- Name — so we know how to address you (required).
- E-mail address — so we can reply to you (required).
- Phone number — if you would rather have a call (optional).
- Company name — so we understand the context of your enquiry (optional).
- The content of your message — so we know what you need help with.
The purpose of the processing is to handle your enquiry and to communicate about possible cooperation. The legal basis is the negotiation of a contract, i.e. steps taken at your request prior to entering into it (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). If no cooperation ultimately results from the exchange, any further short-term retention rests on our legitimate interest in keeping records of business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We receive your message by e-mail, and an automatic confirmation that we have received your enquiry is sent to the address you provided. We send a copy of your message to that single address only.
We do not use your data to send newsletters or other marketing communications, and we do not pass it on for advertising purposes. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that did not lead to cooperation are kept for a maximum of 24 months from the last communication. After that we delete them.
- If cooperation does begin, we keep the data for its duration and then for the period required by law — in particular accounting and tax records for 10 years under the Czech VAT Act, or 5 years under the Accounting Act.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time — unless a statutory retention obligation prevents it, we will delete it.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and do not pass it to third parties for their own purposes. We use the following processors, who access the data only to the extent necessary to provide their service:
- Web4U s.r.o., Company ID 26058774 — operator of our e-mail services and the outgoing SMTP server through which the form message is sent.
- The provider of the server infrastructure this website runs on.
Your data is processed on servers located in the European Union. We do not transfer it to third countries outside the EU or to international organisations.
Cookies and analytics
This website stores no cookies in your browser that would require your consent — we use no advertising or profiling cookies. That is why you will not find a cookie banner here.
We measure traffic with Umami, which we run on our own server (analytics.kontextmakers.cz). The data therefore never leaves our infrastructure, we do not pass it to any advertising network, and we do not use it for ad targeting. Umami stores no cookies or other identifiers in your browser and does not track you across websites.
For each visit we record:
- which page you opened and how long you stayed on it,
- where you came from (the referring page address),
- device type, browser, operating system, and screen resolution,
- the country the visit came from.
Umami uses your IP address only to derive the country and to compute an anonymous fingerprint of the visit — the IP address itself is not stored. The result is aggregate statistics from which we cannot identify you or trace an individual person.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — we need to know which pages genuinely help people and what the site is missing. You may object to this processing (see Your rights). You can also simply prevent measurement with a script blocker or a privacy extension in your browser.
In addition, the provider of the server hosting this website keeps standard technical operational logs (IP address, request time, browser type). These serve solely to keep the service secure and stable, and we do not use them to identify visitors.
Your rights
In relation to the processing of your personal data, you have the right:
- of access — to find out what data we hold about you and obtain a copy of it,
- to rectification — to have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed,
- to erasure — to have your data deleted where there is no longer a reason to process it,
- to restriction of processing — to have processing temporarily suspended, for example while you contest the accuracy of the data,
- to data portability — to receive your data in a machine-readable format or have it transferred to another controller,
- to object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
You can exercise any of these rights by e-mailing info@kontextmakers.cz. We will respond within one month of receiving your request at the latest. Exercising your rights is free of charge.
If you believe we are not handling your data properly, we would appreciate hearing from you first so we can put it right. You also have the right, however, to lodge a complaint directly with the supervisory authority: the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz.
Security
The website runs exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so the contents of the form cannot be intercepted in transit. Only the founders of the company have access to incoming enquiries. E-mail accounts are protected by strong passwords and encrypted connections.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy in the future — for example when we add a new tool or change how we process data. The current version is always at this address, and you will find the effective date at the top of the page.
